How much does chemotherapy costs if you don't have medical insurance? Dr. Emily Altman (NJ) answers on Quora.com
Depending on income, many pharmaceutical companies will provide medication for free. Also, hospitals often have programs called Charity Care. It is a state run program. I am not sure whether all states have it or a similar one, but here is a link to what the New Jersey one looks like:

This is from about.com http://healthinsurance.ab out.com...
Charity care programs typically require that the applicant be ineligible for any type of health insurance coverage, including Medicaid. Patients may need to provide financial information demonstrating that they are unable to pay.
Also, the cost of medications depends on what medications the oncologist chooses for treatment.
Also, is there a way to extend the health insurance your friend has now? That way, she won't have to deal with "pre existing conditions" clause that many health insurance companies have.

Can men get yeast infections? Dr. Emily Altman's answer on Quora.com
Men can get yeast infections. Presuming we are talking about yeast infections in the genital area, often they are acquired from a partner who has a yeast infection. The infection is then passed back and forth between partners unless both partners are treated and they abstain from sexual activity until the treatment is finished.
Male yeast infections can also result from taking antibiotics, which disturbs Candida-good bacteria equilibrium (primarily in the gastrointestinal tract) and results in yeast infections. Taking probiotics along with antibiotics is helpful in preventing, but not treating it.
Another cause of yeast infections in men is poorly controlled diabetes. When blood glucose is high, Candida overgrows quickly, as do other microorganisms like the bacteria Staph aureus, among others. I always tell my patients to think of what happens to baking yeast when you put it into warm water and add a little sugar.

Factors in Patient Satisfaction with Cosmetic Procedures
What determines whether a patient is happy with the results of a cosmetic procedure? Clearly the skill of the doctor performing the procedure plays a large role. But there are also very important patient factors that come into this equation.
Older patients, patients who are responding to internal rather than external pressures for cosmetic surgery, and patients who have realistic expectations of how cosmetic surgery will affect their lives tend to be more satisfied with cosmetic procedures.
Patients with untreated depression or body dysmorphic disorder are usually not happy with the outcomes of cosmetic procedures.
All factors must be taken into account when determining the fitness of the patient for cosmetic surgery in order to maximize patient satisfaction with the results.
